Data Transmission Service:Remove a synchronization object

Last Updated:Jun 10, 2026

Remove one or more objects from a running data synchronization task without reconfiguring the task.

Important

This topic explains the procedure in the previous version of the DTS console. If you are using the new console, see Modify synchronization objects.

Prerequisites

  • The data synchronization task is in the Synchronizing or Synchronization Failed state.

  • To ensure that DTS can connect to the source and destination databases and read their schema information, do not perform operations such as upgrades, specification changes, network switches, or cross-zone migrations on the databases. The source and destination databases must be running.

Precautions

After an object is removed, the task stops synchronizing incremental data of that object to the destination database.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Data Transmission Service (DTS) console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Synchronization.
  3. On the Synchronization Tasks page, select the region of the synchronization instance.
  4. Find the synchronization task. In the Operation column, choose More > Reselect Objects.
  5. In the Selected Objects section, click the object to remove, and then click the Left arrow icon to move it to the Source Objects section.
  6. Click Precheck.
    Note
    • DTS prechecks the task after you change the synchronized objects. The task can start only after passing the precheck.
    • If the precheck fails, click the Info icon icon next to each failed item for details. Fix the issues and rerun the precheck.
  7. Start the synchronization task.
