This page describes how to create, test, and delete a database archive in the Advanced Database & Application Migration (ADAM) console.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
A destination database instance (PolarDB for PostgreSQL (Compatible with Oracle) cluster)
A database account
ADAM IP addresses added to the whitelist of the destination database — see Configure the whitelist
Supported databases
| Role | Database |

Create a database archive
The following steps use a PolarDB for PostgreSQL (Compatible with Oracle) cluster as an example.
If you haven't set up the cluster yet, complete these steps first:
Create a PolarDB for Oracle cluster (step 1 in Getting Started)
Configure the cluster whitelist (step 2 in Getting Started)
Create a database account (step 3 in Getting Started)
Log on to the ADAM console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Management.
Click Create Database.
In the Create Database Record panel, configure the following parameters.
