Data Transmission Service:Configure alert rules for DTS tasks in the CloudMonitor console

Configure threshold-based and event-based alert rules for Data Transmission Service (DTS) tasks in the CloudMonitor console to detect anomalies and troubleshoot errors early.

Background information

CloudMonitor supports the following metrics for DTS tasks:

Metric

Description

Alert rule type

Latency

Monitors the latency of DTS tasks. An alert is triggered if the latency exceeds the specified threshold. Unit: milliseconds.

Threshold-based alert rule

Task status

Tracks the task status. An alert is triggered when the status changes to Exception or Restore.

Event-based alert rule

Configure a threshold-based alert rule

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Service > Alert Rules.

  3. On the Alert Rules page, click Create Alert Rule.

  4. In the Create Alert Rule panel, configure the alert rule parameters.

    For the Product parameter, select the DTS instance type to monitor. The following instance types are supported:

    • Data Transmission Service (Data Migration): data migration instances.

    • Data Transmission Service (Change Tracking): change tracking instances.

    • Data Transmission Service (Data Synchronization): data synchronization instances.

    Note

    You can also enter DTS in the search box to find a DTS task type.

  5. Click Confirm.

Configure an event-based alert rule

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the navigation pane, choose Event Center > System Event.

  3. On the System Events page, click the Event Alert Rules tab.

  4. Click Create Alert Rule.

  5. In the Create/Modify Event-triggered Alert Rule panel, configure the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Rule name

    The name of the alert rule.

    Product type

    Select Data Transmission Service.

    Event Type

    Keep the default value All Types.

    Event Level

    Keep the default value All Levels.

    Event name

    Select an event name from the drop-down list. Alerts are available for Error and Restored events of data migration, data synchronization, and change tracking tasks.

  6. Click OK.
