The price of a data transfer plan varies based on its validity period and specifications.
A data transfer plan is a resource plan that automatically offsets data transfer fees for pay-by-data-transfer services, such as Elastic Compute Service (ECS), Elastic IP Address (EIP), Classic Load Balancer (CLB), and Internet Shared Bandwidth. Data transfer for EIPs of BGP (Multi-ISP) Pro is not covered. The plan offsets fees until its quota is exhausted or it expires. After you purchase a data transfer plan, it takes effect immediately and automatically offsets eligible data transfer fees. No additional action is required. Due to a 1- to 2-day delay in bill generation, your bill might temporarily show pay-by-data-transfer charges. This is normal. The updated bill will reflect these deductions.
You cannot unsubscribe from a data transfer plan.
Specifications of data transfer plans
Data transfer plans are available with a validity period of 1 month or 1 year. Refunds are not provided for expired data transfer plans. Unused data is forfeited and cannot be rolled over.

Bills and usage
You can view the bills and usage of your data transfer plan in the Expenses and Costs console.
Monthly bill overview
Go to the Expenses and Costs console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On this page, you can view the total monthly amount for the billing cycle and export your bills.
Bill details
Go to the Expenses and Costs console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On this page, you can view detailed bills for specific billing items and instances, filtered by billing cycle, day, or billing item.
Usage and details
Go to the Expenses and Costs console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On this page, you can view usage statistics or usage details. Set Resource Type: to Resource Plan.
To view usage, click the Instances tab. In the table, click the filter icon (
) next to the Product Name column and select Shared Data Transfer Plan. Find the target data transfer plan and view its detailed usage in the Total and Remaining Amount columns.To view usage details, click the Details tab and filter the results as needed.
You can click the export icon (
) in the upper-right corner of the summary table to export the data. In the exported file, usage is measured in bytes.To view deduction details and check consumption distribution across cloud products, go to the Resource Plans page. On this page, use the Status filter to select Used Up or Valid, search for the target data transfer plan instance ID, and click Usage Details to view the consumption breakdown by cloud product (for example, ECS or EIP) with rankings.
If billed traffic is inconsistent with your server logs, or if your data transfer plan appears to be exhausted faster than expected, review the deduction records on the deduction details page to verify the specific charges. Bills can have a 1- to 2-day delay, which may cause temporary discrepancies in the displayed amounts.
FAQ
Does the data transfer plan support renewal? How is billing handled after expiration or exhaustion?
Data transfer plans do not support renewal. After a plan expires, you must purchase a new one.
First-purchase discounts apply only to the initial purchase. Repurchases are charged at the standard rate. For the current price, refer to the purchase page.
After the plan expires or its quota is exhausted, billing automatically switches to pay-as-you-go mode. Actual data transfer fees are deducted from your account balance at the standard pay-as-you-go rate. You are not charged at the plan's original rate.
Is the data transfer plan more cost-effective than pay-as-you-go?
Data transfer plans are generally more economical than pay-as-you-go for workloads with high or variable traffic volumes.
To evaluate which option works best for you:
Check the pay-as-you-go unit price for your region. For the current unit price in your region, refer to the purchase page. Use this as a baseline.
Estimate your expected traffic volume and compare the total pay-as-you-go cost against the price of an equivalent data transfer plan.
Selection guidance:
If your traffic is stable and you have high network quality requirements, consider pay-by-bandwidth metering for predictable costs.
If your traffic fluctuates and your total usage is moderate to high, combining pay-as-you-go with a data transfer plan may lower your overall costs.
Notes on the Consumption Summary page in the Expenses and Costs console
Instance Consumption Overview displays only the top 8 instances by deduction volume by default. All remaining instances are grouped under "Others". To identify instances categorized as "Others", you can cross-reference the itemized records on the resource plan details page.
The data displayed on the Consumption Summary page has a 2-day delay. Data as of midnight (24:00) on a given day will be updated at approximately 19:00 the following day. This update delay applies specifically to the Consumption Summary page itself and is separate from the 1–2 day delay for bill settlement. The two mechanisms are independent and cannot be used interchangeably.
Consumption summary reflects only the deduction volume generated by actual instance usage. Reductions in remaining balance caused by resource plan refunds or balance clearance upon expiration are not included in consumption summary. Therefore, it is normal for the decrease in remaining balance to exceed the recorded consumption value.
The Consumption Summary page does not provide a bandwidth view. To check instance bandwidth usage, navigate to the Host Monitoringpage in the CloudMonitor Console.
