Upgrade your Data Security Center (DSC) instance when your current edition or module capacity no longer meets your business requirements.
Upgrading an instance does not change your subscription duration. The remaining subscription duration stays the same.
Upgrade paths
DSC supports the following upgrade directions:
| From | To |
|---|---|
| Value-added Service Only | Pro or Enterprise |
| Pro | Enterprise |
| Any paid edition | Increase module capacity within the same edition (for example, add more columns for column encryption) |
After you purchase a paid edition, all resources and data created in the Free Edition are retained.
The DSC Free Edition cannot be upgraded or renewed. If the specifications of the free resources do not meet your business requirements, you can purchase Data Security Center to ensure continuous data security governance.
How the upgrade cost is calculated
You pay the price difference between your current and new instance, prorated for the remaining subscription period:
Price difference = (Daily price after upgrade − Daily price before upgrade) × Remaining days before expiryUpgrade the edition or module capacity
Log on to the Data Security Center console.
On the Overview page, click Upgrade.
On the upgrade page, select the new configurations for your instance.
The page shows your current specifications by default. Change the edition or adjust the specifications of enabled features as needed.

Click Buy Now and complete the payment.
On the Overview page, verify that the updated specifications are reflected.

Refund and expiry policy
If you request a refund for a DSC instance, the instance is released at 23:00 (UTC+8) on the same day. All resources and data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
If an instance expires without renewal, its resources are released after 15 days.
