Upgrade the edition of Security Center. The following editions of Security Center are in ascending order: Anti-virus, Advanced, Enterprise, and Ultimate.

If the edition that you use cannot meet your requirements, you can upgrade the edition of Security Center to deliver more comprehensive protection.

Increase the value of the Protected Servers or vCore parameter.

The value of the Protected Servers parameter is less than the number of servers within your Alibaba Cloud account, or the value of the vCore parameter is less than the number of server cores within your Alibaba Cloud account.

Note

In the upper-right corner of the Security Center console, a message prompting you to increase the number of servers that can be protected appears.

Purchase value-added features.

After you purchase Security Center, you can purchase value-added features, such as web tamper proofing, anti-ransomware, container image scan, and application protection.

Upgrade value-added features.

After you purchase value-added features, you can increase the log storage capacity, anti-ransomware capacity, or quota for web tamper proofing.

Downgrade

Decrease the value of the Protected Servers or vCore parameter.

After you purchase Security Center, you can decrease the value of the Protected Servers or vCore parameter if the quotas specified by the parameters are not used up and are no longer required. The values of the Protected Servers and vCore parameters after the downgrade must be greater than or equal to the consumed quotas of the Protected Servers and vCore parameters.

Disable value-added features.

If you no longer want to use the purchased value-added features, such as web tamper proofing and anti-ransomware, you can disable the features.

Important

To disable web tamper proofing, perform the following operations: Log on to the Security Center console. On the Downgrade page, select Yes for the Web Tamper Protection parameter, set the Quota for Web Tamper Proofing parameter to 0, and then select No for the Web Tamper Protection parameter.

Downgrade value-added features.

After you purchase value-added features, you can reduce the log storage capacity, anti-ransomware capacity, quotas for web tamper proofing and application protection, and value of the Container Image Scan parameter.

Note

When your Security Center is released, logs are automatically deleted.

Note

You cannot downgrade specifications that are not included in the Downgrade section of the preceding table, such as the edition of Security Center or the cloud honeypot feature. If you want to downgrade the edition of Security Center or reduce the quota for cloud honeypot, you can change the specifications in the next billing cycle. The specifications in the current billing cycle are not affected. For more information about how to perform specification changes and renewal, see Manual renewal.

Upgrade

You must pay the price difference for an upgrade.

The price difference is calculated based on the following formula: Price difference = (Fees of additional servers that can be protected + Fees of value-added features) × Remaining validity period of Security Center (unit: seconds).

Downgrade

You can receive a refund for the value-added features that you disable or downgrade and the number of reduced servers that can be protected.

The refund is calculated based on the following formula: Refund = (Fees of reduced servers that can be protected + Fees of disabled or downgraded value-added features) × Remaining validity period of Security Center (unit: seconds).

For more information about the pricing of each Security Center edition and value-added features, see Billing overview.
