You can delete a network instance connection that is created on a transit router. After the connection is deleted, the network associated with the network instance connection cannot communicate with other networks through the transit router.

Prerequisites

  • If you want to delete a network instance connection from an Enterprise Edition transit router, make sure that the following requirements are met:
    • The network instance connection is not associated with a custom route table. For more information about how to disassociate a custom route table from a network instance connection, see Delete an associated forwarding correlation.
    • No route learning correlation is created for the network instance connection. For more information about how to delete a route learning correlation, see Delete a route learning correlation.
    • If you want to delete a virtual private cloud (VPC) connection, make sure that the route tables of the VPC do not contain a route entry whose next hop is the transit router. For more information about how to delete a route entry in a VPC, see Add and delete route entries.
    • The route tables of the Enterprise Edition transit router do not contain a custom route entry whose next hop is the network instance connection. For more information about how to delete a custom route entry from the route table of a transit router, see Delete a custom route from a route table of an Enterprise Edition transit router.
  • You can also use the procedure described in this topic to delete a network instance connection from a Basic Edition transit router.

Delete a network instance connection
