The Alibaba Cloud DNS Custom Edition is no longer available for new purchases. Users who have previously purchased the Custom Edition can continue to use it.
Upgrade policy
The Alibaba Cloud DNS Custom Edition no longer supports configuration upgrades.
If your existing Custom Edition configuration no longer meets your business needs, you can purchase an Alibaba Cloud DNS Authoritative Managed Domain Names (subscription) instance of the Personal Edition or Enterprise Ultimate Edition. Then, attach your domain names to the new instance. This is a seamless process that does not interrupt DNS resolution.
Renewal policy
If you renew your Alibaba Cloud DNS Custom Edition instance, the new service period cannot extend beyond January 1, 2025. We recommend that you purchase an Authoritative Managed Domain Names (subscription) instance of the Personal Edition or Enterprise Ultimate Edition and attach your domain names directly to the new instance. This is a seamless process that does not interrupt DNS resolution.
When you purchase a new instance, ensure that its features meet or exceed those of your current Custom Edition instance. For more information about the features of the new editions, see Version comparison. You can view the features of your current instance on the renewal page in the console to help you select a suitable new instance.
Refund policy
If you want to switch to a new edition before your Custom Edition instance expires, you can receive a refund for the remaining subscription period. To ensure a seamless transition, follow these steps.
