Batch manage records lets you modify or delete multiple records across multiple domains in an operation. This saves time when you need to update records for multiple domains at once, such as changing IP addresses during server migration or cleaning up outdated records.
Prerequisites
The domains must be added to your Alibaba Cloud DNS zone list. If a domain is not in the list, batch operations on its records will fail.
Batch modify records
You can update DNS records in bulk by specifying original values (to match) and new values (to replace with). Alibaba Cloud DNS applies the changes to all matching records across the selected domains.
Procedure
Log on to Alibaba Cloud DNS – Public Zone.
Click the Batch Operation button. By default, you are directed to the Domain Name > Add Zones tab.
On the Batch Operation page, click Domain Records > Manage DNS Records. Then select Batch Modify DNS Records.
Enter the domain names whose DNS records you want to modify, one per line.
Specify the original values (to match) and new values (to replace with) for host records and record values:
To add multiple match conditions, click the + icon.
Choose whether to match Match Any Condition or Match All Conditions.
Click OK. Alibaba Cloud DNS updates all DNS records that match your criteria.
Batch delete records
You can delete multiple DNS records across multiple domains by specifying deletion criteria. All records that match your criteria will be permanently removed.
Procedure
Log on to Alibaba Cloud DNS – Public Zone.
Click the Batch Operation button. By default, you are directed to the Domain Name > Add Zones tab.
On the Batch Operation page, click Domain Records > Manage DNS Records. Then select Batch Delete DNS Records.
Enter the domain names whose DNS records you want to delete, one per line.
Specify deletion criteria for host records or record values:
To add multiple criteria, click the + icon.
Choose whether to match Match Any Condition or Match All Conditions.
You can also choose to delete all DNS records for a domain and its subdomains.
Click OK. Alibaba Cloud DNS permanently deletes all DNS records that match your criteria.
