    Alibaba Cloud DNS:Add domain names in bulk

    Bulk-add non-Alibaba Cloud registered domain names to your DNS domain name list by manual input or file import. You can also retrieve domain names managed by other Alibaba Cloud accounts.

    Overview

    You can bulk-add domain names not registered with Alibaba Cloud to your Alibaba Cloud DNS domain name list. Domain names registered with Alibaba Cloud are added automatically.

    Two methods are available: Manual and Import by File. If a domain name is already managed by another Alibaba Cloud account, use the Retrieve Domain Names feature to retrieve it in bulk.

    Manual

    1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS - Authoritative Zone console.

    2. Click Batch Operation. By default, the Domain Name > Add Zones tab opens.

    3. Select Manual. Enter the non-Alibaba Cloud domain names in the text box and submit.

    4. After submission, go to the Batch Operation Logs tab. Click Download Log Details to view the task results.

    Import by File

    1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS - Authoritative Zone console.

    2. Click Batch Operation. By default, the Domain Name > Add Zones tab opens.

    3. Select Import by File. Click Download Template and complete it using the sample format.

    4. Click Upload File to select and upload the completed file.

    5. After submission, go to the Batch Operation Logs tab. Click Download Log Details to view the task results.

    Retrieve Zone

    A non-Alibaba Cloud domain name may already be managed by another Alibaba Cloud account. Use the retrieve feature to move such domain names to your account.

    Rules

    • This feature applies only to registered domain names that are not registered with Alibaba Cloud. Unregistered domain names cannot be retrieved.

    Warning

    After you retrieve a domain name, its existing DNS records are deleted. If the domain name was associated with a paid Alibaba Cloud DNS plan, this association is also removed.

    Method

    1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS - Authoritative Zone console.

    2. Click Batch Operation. By default, the Domain Name > Add Zones tab opens.

    3. Select Retrieve Zone.

    4. Enter the domain names to retrieve and add a TXT record for each one.

    5. Click Retrieve to submit the batch retrieval job.

    6. After submission, go to the Batch Operation Logs tab. Click Download Log Details to view the task results.
