The Backup and Restore feature lets you schedule automatic backups of your DNS records. You can use these backups to restore your configuration to a specific point in time, helping prevent service disruptions from accidental record deletion or misconfiguration.
Limitations

The DNS record backup feature is available only in paid editions of Alibaba Cloud DNS. The table below lists the feature's availability for each edition.

If you downgrade to the Personal Edition or Free Edition, the Backup Management and Restore features become unavailable. However, you can still view existing backups, download records from a specific backup version, and delete backups.

Alibaba Cloud DNS retains the last three days of backups for both daily and hourly schedules.
Create a backup plan

Click the Public Zone tab.

Click the Create Backup Plan button.

Select the domain name to back up and choose a backup cycle. For more information about backup cycles, see the Limitations section.
Restore
If the DNS records for a domain name are accidentally deleted or misconfigured, you can use the Restore feature to quickly restore a backup.

Click the Public Zone tab.

In the Actions column of the domain name, click Restore.

Select a data source and click OK to apply the backup.
NoteThe Restore feature does not interrupt DNS resolution.
