The Backup and Restore feature lets you schedule backups of DNS records and seamlessly restore them to a specific backup version. This helps prevent business disruptions caused by lost DNS records.
Limits
The DNS record backup feature is available only in the paid editions of Alibaba Cloud DNS. The following table describes the limits for each edition.

Once per hour, once per day
If you downgrade to the Personal Edition or Free Edition, the Backup Management and Restore features are unavailable. However, you can still view backups, download the backup records of a specific version, and delete backups.
Alibaba Cloud DNS retains data from the most recent three days for both daily and hourly backups.
Create a backup plan
Click the Public Zone tab.
Click the Create Backup Plan button.
Select the domain name that you want to back up and choose a backup cycle. For more information about backup cycles, see the Limits section. The backup schedule is then created.
Restore
If the DNS records for a domain name are misconfigured or deleted, you can use the Restore feature to quickly apply the backed-up records.
Click the Public Zone tab.
In the Actions column of the target domain name, click the Restore button.
Select a data source and click OK to apply the backed-up DNS records to the domain name.
NoteThe Restore feature does not cause DNS resolution interruptions.
