Monitor a Dify instance

This topic describes how to view monitoring information for a Dify instance to monitor its status, CPU load, and resource usage.

Usage notes

Data Management Service (DMS) supports performance monitoring only for Dify instances created after April 3, 2025. If your Dify instance was created before this date, you must redeploy the Dify instance to view its performance monitoring information.

Monitor Dify performance

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Cloud resource monitoring > cloud product monitoring.

  3. Select the product (Data Management Service), the region, and the Dify instance.

    Note

    If you have no Dify instances in your Alibaba Cloud account, or if you have not redeployed an instance created before April 3, 2025, no instances appear for selection on the monitoring page.

  4. View the performance monitoring information for the Dify instance.

    In the navigation pane on the left of the CloudMonitor console, click cloud product monitoring, select Data Management Service, select the target region at the top of the page, and then select the target Dify instance from the instance drop-down list. You can then view performance metrics such as CPU load, CPU usage, memory usage, and network traffic.

    Note
    • A Dify instance is named in the format dms-dify-{workspace ID}. You can find this ID in your DMS workspace.

    • The instance search feature is not currently supported.

  5. (Optional) Click the drop-down list to switch and view the monitoring of different components. If you select dual replicas when deploying Dify, the monitoring data from both replicas will be aggregated by their average value and displayed here.

    The components available in the serviceId drop-down list include dify-204-dify-api, dify-204-dify-web, dify-204-dify-sandbox, dify-204-dify-squid, and dify-204-dify-proxy. The panel on the right displays aggregated metrics such as CPU usage (%).

Redeploy a Dify instance

  1. Go to the workspace.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose image > Dify.

  3. On the Resource Management > Dify page, click Redeploy.

    Important

    The Dify service is unavailable during this process, which typically takes 3 to 5 minutes. We recommend performing this action during off-peak hours.

  4. View the progress of the Dify redeployment.

    If the status of the Dify instance is Running, the redeployment is successful. You can then go to the CloudMonitor console to view the performance monitoring information for the instance.

View workspace ID

To view the workspace ID, go to the workspace and click image > Workspace Management in the lower-left corner.
