Changes to DMS cross-account management
To enhance the security of the Data Management (DMS) service, starting April 15, 2025, DMS will begin a gradual rollout of changes to the features to add RAM users and register instances from other Alibaba Cloud accounts.

April 15, 2025
Impacted features

User management: You can no longer add other Alibaba Cloud accounts or their RAM users.

Instance management: When registering a cross-account instance, you can no longer retrieve the instance list by selecting another Alibaba Cloud account.
Solutions
If you are affected by this change, use the following solutions:

To add a RAM user from your current Alibaba Cloud account to DMS, go to the User Management page and click Add User or Synchronize RAM User.

To register a data resource from another Alibaba Cloud account, see Register an instance across Alibaba Cloud accounts.

To access DMS services in another Alibaba Cloud account, see Access instance resources across Alibaba Cloud accounts.
