When you activate Data Management (DMS) with an Alibaba Cloud account, DMS creates a dedicated tenant for that account. A tenant is an isolated workspace — each tenant's resources remain separate from the others. If your account belongs to multiple tenants (for example, because you work across different teams or organizations that each manage their own DMS environment), you can switch between them without logging out.
Tenant basics
Tenant: A logical isolation boundary in DMS. Each Alibaba Cloud account that activates DMS gets one tenant. Other accounts — including RAM users — can be added as members to multiple tenants, but each tenant's resources remain separate from the others.
When you need to switch tenants: Switch tenants when you need to access databases, tasks, or settings that belong to a different tenant.
View tenant information
Log on to the DMS console V5.0.
On the Home page, move the pointer over the profile picture
to view your current tenant information.
In simple mode, move the pointer over the profile picture in the upper-right corner and click User Information.
Switch to another tenant
Log on to the DMS console V5.0.
On the Home page, move the pointer over the profile picture
in the upper-right corner and click Switch tenant.NoteIn simple mode, move the pointer over the profile picture in the upper-right corner and choose User Information > Switch tenant.
In the dialog box, select a tenant and click OK.
