After you log on to the Database Gateway console, the Gateway List page is displayed by default. The State column displays the state of each database gateway.
View the state of a database gateway
On the Gateway List page, find the desired database gateway and view its state.
The following table lists the possible states of a database gateway.
Gateway state | Description |
Gateway not started | No Database Gateway agent has been installed or started for this database gateway. |
Running | At least a Database Gateway agent has been started for this database gateway and is running properly. |
Abnormal | Exceptions occurred on all the Database Gateway agents of this database gateway. |
Stopped | All the Database Gateway agents of this database gateway have been stopped. Note If a Database Gateway agent is stopped, you can manually restart the process of the Database Gateway agent locally. |
Modify a database gateway
On the Gateway List page, find the database gateway that you want to modify. To change the name of the database gateway, click the edit icon in the Gateway Name column. To change the description of the database gateway, click the edit icon in the Note column.
Stop a database gateway
On the Gateway List page, find the database gateway that you want to stop and move the pointer over the More button in the Operation column. Then, click stop.
Delete a database gateway
On the Gateway List page, find the database gateway that you want to delete and move the pointer over the More button in the Operation column. Then, click Delete.
A running database gateway cannot be deleted.
If you need to delete a running database gateway, stop the running database gateway and then log on to the console by using your Alibaba Cloud account to delete it.
Add a database gateway node
- Log on to the DMS console V5.0.
In the top navigation bar, click Solution. In the left-side navigation pane, click Database gateway.
NoteIf you use the DMS console in simple mode, move the pointer over the
icon in the upper-left corner of the DMS console and choose All functions > Solution > Database gateway. On the Gateway List page, find the desired database gateway and click Detail in the Operation column.
On the Gateway details page, click Add gateway node.
You can select a download method based on the type of your operating system. If you use a Windows operating system, click Download gateway. If you use other operating systems, copy and paste the command to the machine where the gateway node is to be added. Then, press Enter to run the command.
