You can associate an ECS instance with a dedicated host (DDH). This association ensures the instance restarts on the same DDH after it is stopped and its resources are released.
Prerequisites
An ECS instance must be created on a DDH. For instructions, see Create an ECS instance on a DDH.
Procedure
Log on to the ECS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region and resource group.
Find the target ECS instance. In the Actions column, choose .
In the Change Host dialog box, select Yes from the Associate with Host drop-down list.
After an ECS instance is associated with a DDH, it restarts on that same DDH after it is stopped and its resources are released. If the DDH has insufficient resources, the instance fails to start. For more information about the host association feature, see Host association.
Click OK.
Verify the result
To verify that the Associate with Host setting for the ECS instance is Yes, follow these steps:
In the left-side navigation pane, click Dedicated Hosts.
Find the DDH that hosts the ECS instance and in the Actions column, click Details.
On the Instances tab, find the target ECS instance and check the value in the Associate with Host column.
