After you configure detection rules, use the Data Discovery page to identify and visualize sensitive data in your workspace.

Prerequisites

Data Security Guard must be enabled on your Alibaba Cloud primary account. For more information, see Data Security Guard.

Background

Data distribution results are available the day after you configure the sensitive data rules.

Procedure

  1. Go to Data Security Guard.

    1. Log on to the DataWorks console. In the target region, click Data Governance > Security Center in the left-side navigation pane. On the page that appears, click Go to Security Center.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Security > Sensitive Data Management and then click Try Now to access Data Security Guard.

      Note
      • If your Alibaba Cloud account is already authorized, you are directed to the Data Security Guard homepage.

      • If your Alibaba Cloud account is not authorized, you are redirected to the Data Security Guard authorization page. To use Data Security Guard features for the first time, go to Data Security > Sensitive Data Management, select Data Security Guard in the pop-up dialog, and then complete the authorization.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Discovery to go to the Data Discovery page.

The Data Discovery page visualizes your data assets by dimensions such as workspace and sensitivity level. This page shows the total count and percentage of fields and tables that match the detection rules, the distribution of matched fields by sensitivity level and project, and a detailed list of those fields.

The top of the page contains filters for Engine type (for example, ODPS), Project, Category, Sensitivity level, and Sensitive field type, along with a Search button. The page is divided into three sections: Overall distribution, which uses a donut chart to show the percentage of sensitive fields and tables; Sensitivity level & project, which uses a bar chart to show the quantity distribution across different sensitivity levels and projects; and Field details, a table with columns for Engine, Project, Category, Sensitivity level, Sensitive field type, Table count, Field count, and Actions.
