    AI Catalog in DataWorks provides a unified view of AI asset metadata — public and custom datasets as well as models registered in Platform for Artificial Intelligence (PAI). Use AI Catalog to browse and search AI assets without leaving DataWorks. To create, update, or delete datasets and models, AI Catalog redirects you to the PAI console, where the actual asset management takes place.

    Navigate to AI Catalog

    1. Go to the Workspaces page in the DataWorks console. In the top navigation bar, select a region. Find the target workspace and choose Shortcuts > Data Studio in the Actions column.

    2. In the left navigation pane, click the image icon. Under Data Catalog, click AI Catalog.

    View public datasets

    Public datasets are managed by Alibaba Cloud.

    1. Click the image icon next to AI Catalog. Navigate to Dataset > Public Dataset.

    2. Click Public Dataset to open the dataset list.

    3. In the search box, enter a keyword to find the target dataset.

    4. Click a dataset name to open its details page. The Basic Information tab shows the following metadata:

      Field Description
      Size Total size of the dataset
      Data Volume Volume of data in the dataset

    5. To read the full dataset description, click View next to Dataset Introduction on the Basic Information tab.

    Manage custom datasets

    Custom datasets are datasets you create and manage in the PAI console. AI Catalog displays their metadata and links you to PAI for write operations.

    Create a custom dataset

    1. Click the image icon next to AI Catalog. Navigate to Dataset > Custom Dataset.

    2. Click the image icon next to Custom Dataset to open the PAI console.

    3. On the Custom tab under AI Asset Management > Dataset, create a custom dataset.

    View a custom dataset

    1. Click the image icon next to AI Catalog. Navigate to Dataset > Custom Dataset.

    2. Click Custom Dataset to open the dataset list.

    3. In the search box, enter a keyword to find the target dataset.

    4. Click a dataset name to open its details page. The Basic Information tab shows the following metadata:

      Field Description
      Type Dataset type
      Visibility Access scope of the dataset

    5. To view the full dataset record, click the Dataset ID on the Basic Information tab.

    Update or delete a custom dataset

    To update or delete a custom dataset, see Manage datasets in PAI.

    Manage models

    Models are registered and managed in the PAI console. AI Catalog displays their metadata and links you to PAI for management operations.

    Register a model

    1. Click the image icon next to AI Catalog. Find Model in the data catalog.

    2. Click the image icon to the right of Model to open the PAI console.

    3. On the AI Asset Management > Model page, register a model.

    View a model

    1. Click the image icon next to AI Catalog. Find Model in the data catalog.

    2. Click Model to open the model list.

    3. In the search box, enter a keyword to find the target model.

    4. Click a Model Name to open its details page. The Basic Information tab shows the following metadata:

      Field Description
      Latest Version The most recently registered version of the model
      Visibility Access scope of the model

    5. To view the full model record, click the Model ID on the Basic Information tab.

    Delete a model

    To delete a model, see Manage models in PAI.
