    DataWorks:Infrastructure upgrade for DataWorks shared resource groups

    Dear DataWorks users,

    To improve the performance and stability of our services, Alibaba Cloud is upgrading the infrastructure in the China (Beijing) region. This upgrade affects the availability of DataWorks shared resource groups for scheduling and Data Integration. To ensure your tasks run smoothly, we strongly recommend that you migrate all tasks on shared resource groups to serverless resource groups before 23:59 on December 5, 2025.

    • Scope of impact

      • Region: China (Beijing).

      • Services: Shared resource groups (classic network), shared resource groups for scheduling, and the shared resource group for Data Integration.

    • Deadline: 23:59 on December 5, 2025.

    • Impact of the change

      • The shared resource groups (classic network) will be completely discontinued.

      • The IP addresses for the shared resource groups for scheduling and the shared resource group for Data Integration in the China (Beijing) region will change. If you do not migrate your tasks or update the IP address whitelist for your data sources, your tasks may fail.

        Important

        The shared resource group for Data Integration was officially discontinued on September 1, 2024. We cannot guarantee the stability or availability of any remaining tasks on this resource group.

    Option 1 (recommended): Migrate to a serverless resource group

    Before the deadline, migrate your tasks from those three shared resource groups to a serverless resource group.

    Important

    • Perform the switch during off-peak hours to avoid service interruptions.

    • To verify that your tasks run correctly after switching the resource group, test your data source's connectivity in data source management or run a smoke test. For more information about network configuration, see Network connectivity solutions.

    Option 2 (temporary measure): Update the IP address whitelist

    This option is a temporary workaround for users who cannot migrate their tasks immediately.

    To ensure continued access for tasks that use an IP address whitelist, add the new IP address whitelist for the China (Beijing) region to the access control policy for your data source before the shared resource group IP addresses change. Failure to do so may cause your tasks to fail.
