DataV aims to enable more people to see the charm of data visualization and help non-professional engineers easily build professional visual applications through a graphical interface to meet your business needs such as conferences and exhibitions, business monitoring, risk warning, and geographic information analysis. This topic describes the features and experience of DataV.

Product introduction

DataV will provide you with the following functional services:
  • My visualization
    • Create visualization applications: DataV allows you to create templates and blank visualization applications on a PC or a mobile phone. You can also create visualization applications by using graph recognition.
    • Manage visualization applications: On the My Visualization Management page, you can group, sort, search, edit, rename, copy, delete, share, preview, and publish visualization applications.
    • Canvas Editor: In the canvas editor, you can set the basic screen style, add widgets, and configure widget layout and content on the canvas. You can use the widget coordinates and auxiliary lines to switch the view and position movement of widget layers. You can use the smart theme and one-click beautification function in the beautification toolbox to configure filter effects in the toolbar and search for layers on the canvas.
    • Manage Blueprint Editor: On the Blueprint Editor page, you can define the interaction between layers and layers by visualizing connections. This helps you freely manage the interaction between multiple components in a visualized application.
  • My data
    • Data Source Management: In the Data Source Management panel, you can configure a database whitelist, add multiple types of data sources, and edit, filter, sort, and delete the added data sources.
    • Code snippet management: On the Code snippet management page, you can create, edit, rename, delete, and sort code snippets. The created code snippet can be referenced by using the right-click menu when you edit a filter.
  • My assets
    • My Block: A block is a black box tool based on basic component encapsulation. It can define internal and external Data Transmission Service, encapsulate business-related component styles, component layout, default data (excluding static data and API data) and blueprint logic, and define business-related block data interfaces externally.
    • Design assets: Design assets refer to design elements used to enhance visual effects of visual applications, including images, videos, and models. The design asset management function can help users better manage their own design assets, realize asset classification, reuse and sharing, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of visual application design.
    • Favorites: You can collect any widget in the canvas editor. This way, you can call the widget in the Favorites bar at any time if necessary. The widget is displayed in the Favorites panel.
    • My component package: On the My component package management page, you can create a component package, edit the component package, upload the developed components to the component package for management, and authorize specific personnel to implement component sharing.
  • Workspace
    • Add a new workspace: Each new workspace is added to the DataV console. You can configure the workspace name, project quota, favorite component quota, and three-dimensional city quota when you add a workspace.
    • Add a RAM user: Add a RAM user to the workspace and the permissions of the user in the workspace. You can set the permissions to administrator or developer.
    • Configure a workspace: On the Workspace Management page, you can customize and modify the basic information configurations and member management configurations in a workspace. Through configuration, you can manage different types of visualization applications and use permissions for workspaces.
  • Private Deployment: Private Deployment allows you to download the entire development page of DataV, install and deploy it to your internal network.
  • Secondary development :DataV provides secondary development features for users who have purchased the Premium Edition. You can develop visual pages by writing JavaScript code (hook scripts) and configure the implementation of various complex interactive effects in visual applications. It has a higher degree of freedom and flexibility than Blueprint Editor, which is convenient for developers to customize their favorite visual applications at will.
