Dataphin:Add DingTalk Group Bot Contact Information for Members

Dataphin members can receive system alerts and other notifications through DingTalk group bots. To enable this, you add a DingTalk group bot webhook URL to each member's contact information.

Permission description

  • Metadata warehouse tenant super administrators and instance-level system administrators can edit message channels.

  • Tenant-level super administrators and system administrators can edit message channels and configure contact information for all members.

Procedure

Step 1: Enable DingTalk group bot message channel in tenant settings

  1. On the Dataphin home page, navigate to the top menu bar and select Management Center > System Settings.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Tenant Settings > Message Channel.

  3. On the Message Channel Settings page, change Channel Settings to Tenant Custom and activate Dingtalk Robot under Basic Channel.

  4. Click OK to confirm.

Step 2: Configure DingTalk bot and obtain webhook URL

  1. Open the PC version of DingTalk and go to the group where you want to receive notifications.

  2. Click the Group Settings icon in the upper-right corner to open the Group Settings panel.

  3. Select Bot, then in Bot Management, choose Add Bot. In the Group Bot window, select Custom to create a DingTalk bot for alerts and notifications.

  4. In the Bot Details window, click Add to proceed to the Add Bot window.

  5. Enter a name for the bot, such as 'Dataphin Alert Notification.'

  6. For security settings, select the custom keyword method, enter the keyword Dataphin, and then click Finish.

  7. Click Copy to copy the webhook URL, and then click Finish to complete the bot setup.

Step 3: Add DingTalk group bot contact information for members

  1. In the top menu bar on the Dataphin home page, select Management Center > Member Management.

  2. In the member list, click the Edit icon next to the target member in the Actions column.

  3. In the Edit Account dialog box, enter the webhook URL for the DingTalk group in the Dingtalk Robot field.

  4. Click OK. The member can now receive notifications through the DingTalk group bot.
