    Dataphin:Create notebook

    This topic explains the process of creating a notebook within the Dataphin analysis platform.

    Permission description

    To run a project, you must select one that is either in the dev or basic account and is tied to the offline engine. The account must also possess ad hoc query execution permissions for the project.

    Procedure

    1. In the top menu bar of the Dataphin home page, choose Analyze > Notebook.

    2. Click the image..png button to initiate the creation of a new notebook.

    3. In the Create Notebook dialog box, set the necessary parameters.

      Parameter

      Description

      Notebook Name

      Supports up to 256 characters; special characters |\/:?<>*" are not permitted.

      Directory Location

      Choose the directory to store the task. To create a directory, enter a name and select the desired location as shown below.

    4. Select OK to finalize the notebook creation.
