Dataphin's home page allows for customization with videos or the addition of new entries at the bottom, catering to users' unique preferences. This topic outlines the steps to configure the Dataphin home page.
Permission description
Superusers or system administrators have the ability to configure the Dataphin home page.
Limits
A maximum of 20 entries can be added to the bottom of the home page.
Home page settings entry
On the Dataphin home page, single click the Management Center located in the top menu bar.
Follow the operation guide depicted below to navigate to the Home Page Settings page.
Bottom area information configuration
In the bottom area information configuration section, single click Add Entry to set up the entry and its corresponding link.
Entry: Mandatory. Enter the entry name, up to 128 characters, including special characters.
Link: Optional. Provide the link for the entry, limited to 1000 characters.
To finalize the addition of the entry, single click the Save
icon.Review the entry by single clicking Preview, and verify the link's functionality on the preview page. Once satisfied, confirm by single clicking Confirm.
Manage bottom entries
You can edit, pin, or delete entries after they have been added.
Edit: Allows for modification of the entry details.
Pin: Enables quick pinning of an entry to the top position, or you can drag and drop to sort entries. They are displayed from left to right at the bottom of the home page based on their order.
Delete: Removes the entry, after which it will no longer appear on the home page.
Introduction video settings
Enable the introduction video in the designated settings area and adjust the necessary parameters.

Video Content
Choose between the default option or customization.
Default: No configuration needed; the built-in Dataphin introduction video updates with each version upgrade.
Customize: Requires setting up video details.
Video Thumbnail: Click the Upload button to choose an image from your device. If no thumbnail is uploaded, the video's first frame will be used.
Recommended image aspect ratio is 16:9, in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF formats, and up to 1MB in size.
Video Source: You can either provide a video link or upload a file.
Video Link: Insert the video link. Ensure a stable network for smooth playback in the browser.
Upload Video: Click the Upload button to select a video file from your device.
Supported video formats include MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, and the file size must be under 200MB.
Click Confirm to finalize the video settings.
Preview the video by clicking Preview to ensure it plays correctly. Confirm the settings with a final click on Confirm after verification.
