Dataphin:Create a Ververica Flink compute source

Prerequisites

• The current tenant must have Ververica Flink enabled as the real-time computing engine. For more information, see Set real-time compute engine.

• Only accounts with the super administrator or project administrator role, or a custom role that includes the Create compute source permission, can create a compute source. For more information, see Permissions for Data Warehouse Planning.

Procedure

1. On the Dataphin homepage, in the top navigation bar, choose Plan > Compute source.

2. On the Compute source page, click Add compute source and select Ververica Flink.

3. On the Create Ververica Flink compute source page, configure the following parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Computing type	Select Ververica Flink.
   Region	If you select System, select a region from the list. If you select Custom, enter a region ID.
   Version	Select Enterprise Edition or storage-compute separated edition. The default is Enterprise Edition. Select the version that matches your Ververica Flink deployment.
   Access mode	Select VPC or public network. Note This parameter is available only when you select System for Region.
   Endpoint	Enter the endpoint for the custom region. Note This parameter is available only when you select Custom for Region.
   AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret	Enter the AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret of an account that can access the Ververica Flink project. You can obtain the AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret on the User information management page. Important To ensure a successful connection, we recommend using the AccessKey of a Ververica Flink project administrator.
   Flink workspace ID	Select a Flink workspace ID. Note Before you select a Flink workspace ID, ensure the preceding parameters are configured correctly. Otherwise, the Flink workspace ID options will be unavailable.
   Flink project space	Select a Flink project space.
   Compute source name	Enter a name for the compute source. The name must follow these rules: It can contain Chinese characters, letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). It must be no more than 64 characters long.
   Description	Enter a description for the compute source.

   Note

   To create multiple compute sources, click Add compute source again. You can create up to 10 compute sources at a time.

4. Click Test connection to verify the connection.

5. After the test succeeds, click Verify and submit. Dataphin validates the connection and creates the compute source.
