This topic explains the process of creating a Blink calculation source.
Background information
Alibaba Cloud's real-time computing Blink edition supports both shared and exclusive clusters, with exclusive mode providing a more comprehensive feature set. For detailed information about Blink, see Service notices for real-time computing Blink.
Prerequisites
The current tenant enables the Blink Exclusive Edition as the real-time computing engine. For more information, see Set up the real-time computing engine.
The ability to create a calculation source is restricted to accounts with custom user roles that include the Create calculation source permission, along with those with super administrator or project administrator roles. For more information, see Data warehouse plan permission list.
Procedure
Navigate to the Dataphin home page and select Planning -> Calculation source from the top menu bar.
To reach the Create Calculation Source page, follow these steps:
Click Add Calculation Source -> Create Calculation Source -> Ververica Flink Calculation Source in that order.
On the Create Calculation Source page, fill in the required parameters as follows:
Parameter
Description
Calculation Type
Choose Blink as the calculation type.
Calculation Source Name
Input the calculation source name, adhering to the following naming conventions:
May include Chinese characters, numbers, letters, underscores (_), or hyphens (-).
Must not exceed 64 characters in length.

Access ID, Access Key
Input the AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret for the account authorized to access the Blink project. These credentials can be obtained from the User Information Management page.
ImportantFor a stable connection between Dataphin project space and the Blink project, it is recommended to use the AccessKey of the Blink project administrator.
To maintain normal metadata collection, avoid modifying the Blink project's AccessKey if possible.
Select Test Connection to verify the connectivity of the calculation source.
Click Submit to finalize the creation of the Blink calculation source.
What to do next
Once you have created the Blink calculation source, you can link it to your project. For more information, see Create a general project.
