Dataphin:Add members and assign roles

Last Updated:Sep 16, 2026

After a super administrator creates a service project, you can add members to assist with development. You can add users from the member list in Management Center > Member Management to the service project and assign roles to them. Alternatively, you can add a Dataphin project as a project account, which authorizes the project to publish workflow APIs to the service project by using an online workflow.

Prerequisites

Ensure the following requirements are met:

  • The user you want to add must be a Dataphin member. To check the member list, go to Management Center > Member Management. If the user is not listed, you must add them first. For more information, see Add a Dataphin member.

  • You must have an existing service project. For more information, see Create a service project.

Permissions

A super administrator, system administrator, or service project administrator can add members and assign roles to them. For more information about the permissions for managing service project members, see Data service permissions.

Procedure

  1. On the Dataphin homepage, choose Service > Service Management from the top navigation bar.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Project Management. Find the target service project and click the Member Management icon in the Actions column. In the Member Management dialog box, click Add Member.

  3. In the Add Member dialog box, configure the parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Account type

You can add account types to a service project, including personal accounts and project accounts:

    • personal account: An individual user account for developing, calling, and maintaining APIs in this service project.

    • project account: This parameter is available only after you purchase Unstructured Data - Standard Edition + Advanced Extension Pack. A Dataphin project authorized to publish workflow APIs to this service project by using an online workflow.

    Select user

If Account Type is set to personal account, select a RAM user from the Dataphin member list.

    Select project

If Account Type is set to project account, select a Dataphin project within the current tenant.

    Role

Assigns a role to the member to define their permissions and responsibilities, ensuring secure and orderly project operations. If Account Type is set to personal account, you can select developer, service project administrator, or O&M user. If Account Type is set to project account, you can only select online workflow integration. The permissions for each role are as follows:

    • service project administrator: Manages the service project, including its resources and members.

    • developer: Develops and calls APIs.

    • O&M user: Maintains and monitors APIs, including monitoring application calls, API runs, and their impact on applications.

    • online workflow integration: Authorizes the associated Dataphin project to use an online workflow to register, submit, and publish workflow APIs to this service project. This role also manages the API version lifecycle. This role does not support manual API development or debugging.

  4. Click Submit.

Next steps

After you add members to the service project and assign roles, you can configure the network to allow applications to access the data service. For more information, see Configure the network.
