Dataphin:Add members and set roles

Last Updated:Sep 30, 2025

After a super administrator creates a service project, you can add members to assist with development. You can add users from the member list in Management Center > Member Management to the service project and assign them roles. This topic describes how to add members to a data service project and set their roles.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you meet the following conditions:

  • The Resource Access Management (RAM) user that you want to add to the service project must be in the Dataphin member list. You can view Dataphin members on the Member Management page in the Management Center. If the user is not in the Dataphin member list, you must add the user to the list first. For more information, see Add Dataphin members.

  • A service project has been created. For more information, see Create a service project.

Permissions

Only accounts with super administrator, system administrator, or project administrator roles can add members and set their roles. For more information about the permissions for managing service project members, see Data service permission description.

Procedure

  1. On the Dataphin home page, choose Service > Service Management in the top menu bar.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Project Management. Find the target service project and click the Member Management icon in the Actions column. In the Member Management dialog box, click the Add Member button.

  3. In the Add Member dialog box, configure the parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    New Account Name

The drop-down list displays all RAM users that are added to the Dataphin member list. Select a user as needed for your development.

    User Type

The user type is the role. User types in DataService Studio include Developer, Application User, Project Administrator, and O&M User. The permissions for each role are described as follows:

    • Project Administrator: Manages service projects, and the resources and members within the projects.

    • Developer: Develops APIs.

    • Application User: Invokes APIs.

    • O&M User: Performs O&M and monitoring for APIs. This includes monitoring API calls from applications, API runtime status, and the impact on applications.

  4. Click Submit.

What to do next

After you add members to the service project and set their roles, you need to configure the application network to access DataService Studio. This enables network communication between the application and DataService Studio. For more information, see Configure a network.
