    Background

    Dataphin semi-managed mode lets you purchase Dataphin and its underlying resources in a single order. Deployment completes automatically with enhanced security and scalability.

    Supported Regions

    Dataphin is available for purchase in the following regions: China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Shenzhen), China (Guangzhou), China (Beijing), China (Hohhot), China (Ulanqab), China (Chengdu), China (Hong Kong), Japan (Tokyo), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Singapore, Indonesia (Jakarta), Thailand (Bangkok), Germany (Frankfurt), and US (Virginia).

    Available Editions

    Intelligent R&D Edition (Offline & Real-time): Supports offline and real-time development with separate production and development environments, intelligent modeling, and logical O&M. Designed for enterprises with large data volumes, strict permission controls, and professional big data teams.

    Purchase Limits

    Only Alibaba Cloud accounts can purchase Dataphin instances, one instance per order, with no limit on total purchases across supported regions.

    Subscription Duration

    You can subscribe to a Dataphin instance for 1 month, 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years.

    DPU calculation formula:

    Total DPUs = (Number of data synchronization tasks + Number of data integration tasks) / 3 + Number of offline computing nodes + Total number of logical tables + [Ceiling(Number of metrics / 10)]

    Notes:

    • Logical tables include logical dimension tables and logical fact tables.

    • Virtual computing nodes and virtual logical dimension tables are not included in the DPU calculation.

    • The scope of metrics includes derived metrics but excludes registered metrics.

    • Only nodes or tables published to production with a recurring schedule are counted. In Basic projects, submitting a node equals publishing. One-time tasks and recurring instance counts are excluded.

    • Real-time integration and computing nodes are sold separately and excluded from DPU calculation.

    • You cannot publish any more tasks once the resource usage limit is reached.

    Integration and Sync Tasks

    • Scope: Only nodes with a recurring schedule and in the Published state are counted.

    • Calculation: Every 3 offline nodes (data synchronization tasks + data integration tasks) are rounded up to count as 1 DPU.

    Batch Processing Tasks

    • Scope: Only nodes with a recurring schedule and in the Published state are counted.

    • Each offline computing job is measured as one data processing unit (DPU).

    Logical Dimension Tables

    • Scope: Only logical dimension tables in the Published state are counted.

    • Calculation: Each logical dimension table counts as 1 DPU.

    Logical Fact Tables

    • Scope: Only logical fact tables in the Published state are counted.

    • Calculation: Each logical fact table counts as 1 DPU.

    Metrics

    • Scope: Only metrics in the Published state are counted.

    • Calculation: Every 10 metrics are rounded up to count as 1 DPU.
