Database Autonomy Service:Performance trends

Last Updated:Jun 15, 2023

Database Autonomy Service (DAS) allows you to view the performance trends of database instances based on a variety of performance metrics and customize charts. DAS provides diagnostics capabilities to help you understand the health status of your instances. DAS also allows you to select a time range and manually perform diagnostics on instances in the specified time range.

Prerequisites

A PolarDB for MySQL cluster is connected to DAS and is in the Accessed state. For more information, see Access instances.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DAS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instance Monitoring.
  3. On the page that appears, find the database instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID. The instance details page appears.
  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Dashboard.

    • In the Nodes section, view the performance trend overview for all nodes.

    • On the Performance Trends tab, view the performance trend charts in a time range based on the metrics.

      • Click More Metrics to select the metrics and view their performance trends.

        Note

Click the 指标.png icon to the right of the metric name in a performance trend chart to view the details of the metric.

      • Select one or more levels of events to be displayed. If events at the selected levels are detected, the system displays the detected events in the PolarDB CPU Utilization/Memory Usage and Session performance trend charts.

Click the color block corresponding to the events at the specified level in the performance trend chart to view the diagnosis in the event details.

      • In the performance trend chart of a metric, drag and select a time range and click Diagnose to view the performance trend of the metric within the time range.

      • Click Details in the performance trend chart of a metric to zoom in the performance trend chart. In this case, you can change the time range to view the performance trend of the metric in the specified time range.

    • On the Performance Trend Comparison tab, view the comparison of performance trends for a metric within different time ranges.

Click More Metrics to select the metrics and view the comparison of their performance trends.

    • On the Custom Chart tab, create dashboards to display the performance metrics that you want to view. When you create a chart, you can specify multiple performance metrics that you want the chart to display. This way, you can analyze metrics that are displayed on the dashboards and troubleshoot performance issues.

      Note

You must create dashboards before you create charts. For more information, see Monitoring dashboards.
