Data Management:View the control mode of an instance

Last Updated:Mar 20, 2024

This topic describes how to view the control mode of an instance in the Data Management (DMS) console.

Background information

DMS provides three control modes: Flexible Management, Stable Change, and Security Collaboration. For more information, see the Overview section of the "Control modes" topic.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DMS console V5.0.

  2. View the control mode of a single instance.

    1. In the left-side instance list of the DMS console, enter a keyword in the search box to search for the instance.

      Note

You can search for an instance by instance name, instance address, and database type.

    2. Move the pointer over the instance name to view the control mode of the instance.

What to do next

  • To view the control modes of all instances, you can go to the Instances page of the DMS console as an administrator or a database administrator (DBA).

To go to the Instances page, move the pointer over the 2023-01-28_15-57-17.png icon in the upper-left corner of the console and choose All functions > Data Assets > Instances.

    Note

If you use the DMS console in normal mode, you can choose Data Assets > Instances in the top navigation bar to go to the Instances page.

  • If the current control mode of an instance cannot meet your business requirements, you can edit the instance to change the control mode. For more information, see Change the control mode of an instance.
