This topic describes how to view the control mode of an instance in the Data Management (DMS) console.

Background information

DMS provides three control modes: Flexible Management, Stable Change, and Secure Collaboration. For more information, see Control modes.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DMS console V5.0.
    Note To switch to the previous version of the DMS console, click the Return to old version icon in the lower-right corner of the page. For more information, see Switch to the previous version of the DMS console.
  2. Use one of the following two methods to view the control mode of an instance:
    • View the control mode of an instance from the left-side instance list of the DMS console.
      • In the left-side instance list of the DMS console, enter a keyword in the search box to search for the instance.
        Note You can enter the name, address, or database type of an instance to search for the instance.
      • Right-click the instance.
      • From the shortcut menu that appears, select View Details. In the Instance details dialog box, check the value of the Control Mode parameter in the Basic Information section.
    • View the control mode of an instance from the top navigation bar.
      • From the Shortcuts menu in the upper-left corner of the DMS console, choose Data Assets > Instance.
      • On the Instance List tab, search for the instance in the search box.
        Note You can enter the name, address, or database type of an instance to search for the instance.
      • Check the value in Control Mode column of the instance.
