Data Management (DMS) supports the subscription billing method, which requires a renewal if a chargeable DMS item expires. To prevent your business from being affected, renew chargeable DMS items at the earliest opportunity. This topic describes how to enable and disable auto-renewal for chargeable DMS items and how to manually renew chargeable DMS items.

Prerequisites

The subscription billing method is adopted by the purchased chargeable DMS items.

Precautions

  • If you enable auto-renewal, the system deducts fees from your Alibaba Cloud account nine days before the chargeable DMS item involved expires. Make sure that your account has a sufficient balance. The balance and vouchers in your account can both be used for fee deductions.
  • If you manually renew a chargeable DMS item before an automatic deduction can be applied, no automatic deduction will be attempted until close to the next expiration date.
  • If a chargeable DMS item is to expire the next day, manually renew it to prevent service interruptions. For more information, see Manually renew a chargeable DMS item.
Note For information about the effects on your business caused by service interruptions, see Insufficient service quotas and overdue payments.
Methods of renewals:

Enable auto-renewal

  1. Go to the DMS console V5.0.
  2. In the upper-right corner of the DMS console, move the pointer over the Purchase icon icon and select Renewals.
  3. On the Renewal page, select Data Management - New Edition (Subscription) for the Instances parameter.

  6. Click Auto Renew.

Disable auto-renewal

  1. Log on to the DMS console V5.0.
Note To switch to the previous version of the DMS console, click the Return to previous version icon icon in the lower-right corner of the page. For more information, see Switch to the previous version of the DMS console.
