You can configure the control mode of an instance when you register the instance with Data Management (DMS). After the instance is registered, you can change the control mode based on your needs on the Instances page or in the left-side instance list in the DMS console.

Prerequisites

You are a database administrator (DBA) or a DMS administrator.

DMS provides three control modes for you to manage instances: Flexible Management, Stable Change, and Security Collaboration. For more information, see Control modes.

  1. Go to the DMS console V5.0.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click Data Assets. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.
  3. Click the Instance List tab.
  4. Find the instance of which you want to change the control mode and choose More > Edit in the Actions column.
