Database Autonomy Service:Connect an Alibaba Cloud database instance to DAS

Alibaba Cloud database instances are automatically connected to Database Autonomy Service (DAS) when created. If automatic connection fails, you can connect the instance to DAS manually by selecting it from the DAS console.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that:

  • The database instance is one of the supported types:

    • ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL, PolarDB for MySQL, or ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL

    • ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL or PolarDB for PostgreSQL

    • ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server or ApsaraDB MyBase for SQL Server

    • ApsaraDB for Redis

    • PolarDB for PostgreSQL (Compatible with Oracle)

    • PolarDB-X 2.0

    • ApsaraDB for MongoDB

  • The database instance belongs to the same Alibaba Cloud account used to activate DAS

Connect an instance manually

  1. Log on to the DAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Intelligent O&M Center > Instance Monitoring.

  3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Access Instance.

  4. On the page that appears, click Alibaba Cloud Database.

  5. Configure the following parameters to select the instance you want to connect, then click Access instance.

    Select EngineThe database engine type of the instance.
    Access StatusThe state of the database instance.
    RegionThe region where the instance is deployed.
    Instance ID/NameThe ID of the database instance.
  6. Click Complete to finish, or click Add More to connect additional instances.
