This topic describes the cache eviction mechanism for file gateways.
A file gateway determines whether to evict data based on the current cache usage. The process is as follows:
The cache eviction mechanism is not triggered when the current cache usage is below 60 %.
If cache usage is between 60% and 80%, the file gateway triggers cache eviction. It evicts data from the cache until usage drops below 60%.
If cache usage exceeds 80%, the file gateway evicts cached data at maximum speed. It also limits data writes from the frontend to prevent the cache from running out of space.
