This topic describes how to upgrade the specification of an Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) gateway in the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.
Prerequisites
An iSCSI gateway is created. For more information, see Manage an iSCSI gateway.
Background information
If the specification of a gateway no longer meets your business requirements, you can upgrade the gateway specification. After you upgrade the specification, the gateway can provide higher read and write bandwidth, more shares, and better user experience.
Upgrading gateway specifications will cause temporary business interruptions. Exercise caution when performing this action.

The check mark (✓) indicates that the gateway can be upgraded to the specification. The cross mark (×) indicates that the gateway cannot be upgraded to the specification.
You can upgrade the specifications only for gateways that are deployed on Alibaba Cloud.
You cannot downgrade gateway specifications.
The specifications available for a gateway upgrade depend on the resources in the zone where the gateway resides.
Procedure
On the Gateways page of the CSG console, find the gateway and click in the Actions column.
In the Upgrade Gateway dialog box, select the specification to which you want to upgrade the gateway and click OK.
NoteA gateway upgrade causes business interruptions and may require a long period of time to complete. You may need to perform the mounting operation again after the upgrade is complete. To minimize the impact on your business, schedule the gateway upgrade appropriately.
In the task list on the Volumes page, you can view the progress and status of an upgrade task.
