Cloud Storage Gateway:Manage tags

Last Updated:Jan 24, 2025

This topic describes how to add or remove tags for an Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) gateway in the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.

Prerequisites

An iSCSI gateway is created. For more information, see Create an iSCSI gateway.

Background information

  • Each tag is a key-value pair. A tag key must be unique within a region. If you add a tag that has the same tag key as an existing tag, the existing tag is overwritten.

  • You can add up to 10 tags to one gateway.

  • You can add up to five tags to a gateway, or remove up to five tags from a gateway at a time.

  • Tags are not shared across regions.

Add tags

  1. On the Gateways page of the CSG console, find the gateway and click More > Change Tags.

  2. In the Change Tags dialog box, create a tag or select an existing tag.

    • To create a tag, click Create Tag, specify a tag key in the Key field and a tag value in the Value field, and then click OK after the Value field. After the tag is created, click OK to add it to the gateway.

    • To add an existing tag to the gateway, click Existing Tags and select the tag. Click OK to add the tag to the gateway.

The tags added to a gateway are displayed in the Tags column in the gateway list.

Remove tags

  1. On the Gateways page of the CSG console, find the gateway and click More > Change Tags.

  2. In the Edit Tags dialog box that appears, click the x icon next to the tag that you want to remove, and then click OK.

If a tag is added to only one gateway, removing the tag from the gateway deletes the tag.
