File gateways support delayed synchronization. In delayed synchronization, a gateway does not start uploading data to the associated Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket until the specified latency period elapses.
Scenarios
Every time you update a file that is being uploaded by a file gateway, the file gateway has to re-upload the file to OSS. This can cause high bandwidth consumption, especially when you process a large file. Delayed synchronization allows the file gateway to delay a file upload to OSS and start uploading after the whole file is written to the file gateway. This feature helps reduce bandwidth usage and improve the overall upload efficiency.
Configure delayed synchronization
You can configure Sync Latency when you create a share. For more information, see Create a share.
