Cloud Storage Gateway:How can I verify if data synchronization between a file gateway share and the associated OSS bucket is complete?

Last Updated:Apr 18, 2025

This topic describes how to check whether data synchronization (upload and download) between a share of a file gateway and its associated Object Storage Service (OSS) gateway is complete.

Data upload

You can verify if data upload has finished by querying the share status.

  1. On the Gateways page of the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console, click the ID of the gateway.

  2. On the Shares tab, find the share and check its status in the Status column.

    1. If the share status is Sync Completed, the data is uploaded.

    2. If the share status is Sync Uncompleted, the data upload has not finished. You can click the plus sign (+) next to the share name to check the upload queue and upload speed.

Data download

You can verify if data download has finished by checking the Download Queue field on the share details page.

  1. On the Gateways page of the CSG console, click the ID of the gateway.

  2. On the Shares tab, find the share and click the plus sign (+) next to the share name. Check the Download Queue and Download Speed fields. If the Download Queue field has a value other than 0, the download has not finished.
