The capacity you configure when creating a CPFS for Lingjun file system defines its maximum usable space. To prevent write failures and service disruptions, scale out your file system's capacity before it runs out of space.
Prerequisites
You have created a file system. For more information, see Create a file system.
Usage notes
You can only scale out a CPFS for Lingjun file system when it is in the
runningstate. The scaling step size is 10,240 GiB, and you can scale out the capacity up to 1 PiB. The maximum creatable capacity is 20 PiB. To create a file system of this size, submit a ticket.
High file system utilization can cause performance degradation from file fragmentation. We recommend scaling out the capacity before utilization reaches 90%.
For optimal performance, we recommend rebalancing data after you scale out your file system. This process consumes some disk and network bandwidth and may cause a slight, temporary performance decrease. To request this operation, submit a ticket.
The time required for data rebalancing depends on the volume of existing data; larger volumes take longer to process.
In cases of extreme data imbalance, the total capacity and usage reported by the
dfcommand and in the console might appear to decrease. This does not affect data security or access performance. If you do not perform data rebalancing, latency may increase as you write more data to the file system.
Scale out a CPFS for Lingjun
Log on to the NAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.
In the top navigation bar, select a region.
Find the target CPFS for Lingjun file system. In the Actions column, click the
icon and choose Upgrade.NoteThe scaling step size is 10,240 GiB, and you can scale out the capacity up to 1 PiB. The maximum creatable capacity is 20 PiB. To create a file system of this size, submit a ticket.
On the CPFS (Pay-As-You-Go) | Upgrade/Downgrade panel, in the Capacity of CPFS File System section, adjust the capacity.
NoteFor stable performance after scaling out, increase the capacity by at least 10%.
Click Buy Now and complete the purchase as prompted.
