You can generate kubeconfig files and logon tokens for newly added users in the AI O&M console. You can also query, delete, and modify users in the AI O&M console. This topic describes how to manage users in the AI O&M console.

Prerequisites

  • The AI O&M console is installed. For more information, see Deploy the cloud-native AI component set.
  • The credentials of the Resource Access Management (RAM) user that is specified as the administrator of the AI O&M console are obtained.
  • A user group is added and associated with a quota group. For more information about how to add a user group, see Manage user groups. For more information about how to add a quota group, see Add a quota group.

Generate the kubeconfig file and logon token of the newly created user

  1. After the AI O&M console and AI development console are installed in the cluster, you can find two hyperlinks on the Cloud-native AI Component Set page, as shown in the following figure. Then, click O&M Console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the AI O&M console, choose User > Users.
  3. On the Users page, click Add.
  4. In the Add User dialog box, set the parameters:
    1. Select or enter a user name, select one or more user types, and select one or more user groups. The User Name and User Type parameters are required.
    2. Optional:To grant the user permissions within specific namespaces, you can specify namespaces for resource quotas. Select a namespace for the Quota parameter.
    3. Click Save.
  5. After the user is created, you can view the kubeconfig file of the user on the Users page. You can also view the token used to log on to the AI development console.
  6. Optional:Find the created user and click Download in the KubeConfig column.
    The kubeconfig file can be used to configure access to the cluster.
  7. Optional:Click Copy Bearer Token in the Token column.
    The token can be used to log on to the AI development console.

Manage users in the AI O&M console

Search for a user

  1. Log on to the AI O&M console as an administrator.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the AI O&M console, choose User > Users.
  3. On the Users page, enter the user name in the search box to the left of Search.
  4. Click Search.

Update a user

Note Before you update a user, delete a user group, or delete a namespace, make sure that no running job of the user exists.
  1. Log on to the AI O&M console as an administrator.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the AI O&M console, choose User > Users.
  3. On the Users page, find the user that you want to update and click Edit to update the name, type, user group and quota of the user.
  4. Click Save.

Delete a user

Note Before you update a user, delete a user group, or delete a namespace, make sure that no running job of the user exists.
  1. Log on to the AI O&M console as an administrator.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the AI O&M console, choose User > Users.
  3. Find the user that you want to delete and click Delete in the Operator column.
