This topic describes how to create a ConfigMap in the Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) console.

  1. Log on to the ACK console and click Clusters in the left-side navigation pane.
  2. On the Clusters page, click the name of a cluster and choose Configurations > ConfigMaps in the left-side navigation pane.
  3. On the ConfigMap page, click Create. In the Create panel, enter a name for the ConfigMap, click + Add to add keys and values to the ConfigMap, and then click OK.
    • ConfigMap Name: Specify the name of the ConfigMap. This parameter is required. The name can contain lowercase letters, digits, hyphens (-), and periods (.) Other resource objects must reference the ConfigMap name to obtain the configuration information.
    • ConfigMap: Add keys and values to the ConfigMap. You can also click Import in the upper-right corner of the panel to create the ConfigMap from a file.

What to do next

After the ConfigMap is created, you can perform the following operations in the Actions column of the ConfigMap page:
  • Click Edit or Edit YAML to modify the ConfigMap.
Notice After you modify a ConfigMap, the applications that use the ConfigMap are affected.
  • Click Delete to delete the ConfigMap.
