After services are published in the Compute Nest console, service providers can publish the services as Alibaba Cloud Marketplace products. This way, customers can purchase the Compute Nest services in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. If a product supports subscription sales and can be renewed, the product can be sold by using the subscription billing method. This topic describes how to publish a Compute Nest service as a subscription Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product.
Prerequisites
You register as an independent software vendor (ISV) with Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. For more information, see How to apply to become Alibaba Cloud Marketplace Technology Partner.
The service that you want to publish to Alibaba Cloud Marketplace is released in Compute Nest and must be a private service or fully managed service. For more information, see Create a service.
Optional. If you (ISV) want to check whether the service that you want to publish has overdue payments, integrate the
CheckOutLicenseoperation with the service. For more information, see Check the validity period of a service instance.NoteYou can test the CheckOutLicense operation only after the product category of the service is approved.
Procedure
Step 1: Select an online Compute Nest service
Log on to the Compute Nest console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click My Services. On the Created Services tab of the My Services page, find the service that you want to publish to Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.
Click the name of the service to go to the Service Details page. On the Service Details tab, find the Sales Configuration section and click Associate Marketplace Product.
Step 2: Configure the product sales information
On the basic information page of the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace console, configure the product sales information.
In the Access Information step, configure the parameters that are described in the following table and click Next.

Choose Your Product Type
The access type. In this example, SaaS is used.
Product Name
The name of the product.
SaaS Acceleration Plan
Optional. The ID of the acceleration plan that you want to associate with the product.
Access Method
The access method. In this example, Compute Nest is used.
Service Method
The method that is used to deploy the Compute Nest service. Set this parameter to Private Service or Fully Managed Service.
After you select a service method, the service ID that is created in the Compute Nest console is displayed.
Each product corresponds to a service ID.
If a service template is associated with a product, the service template cannot be associated again.
Select Service Template
Optional. We recommend that you select a public template. If no public template is available, select a private template.
In the General step, configure the parameters that are described in the following table and click Next.

Product Logo
The logo of the product. The image that you upload must be in the PNG format. We recommend that you upload an image of 290 × 290 pixels and up to 7.5 MB in size.
Short Description
The short description of the product. This description is displayed on the product list page in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. We recommend that you enter a description that contains no more than 300 characters in length.
Product Highlights
The key features and available services of the product, which are different from the features of other products. You can enter up to 1,000 characters in this field.
Product Description
The detailed description of the product, such as features, available services, benefits, and how to use the product.
Edition Feature and Screenshot
Optional. The descriptions and screenshots of the product of different editions. This information can help customers compare and better understand the features of the product of different editions.
Product Screenshot
Optional. The screenshots of the product.
Live Stream ID
Optional. The ID of the live stream to be associated with the product. After the ID of the live stream is associated with the product, the live stream is played on the details page of the product.
Product Video
Optional. The short video of the product. After the short video is uploaded, the short video is played on the details page of the product.
Product Certifications
Optional. The certifications of the product. A maximum of six images can be uploaded, and each image can be up to 2 MB in size.
Case
Optional. The success stories of the product.
User Guide
The user guide of the product. The operations staff of Alibaba Cloud Marketplace check the documentation when they review your product. The user guide must be in the PDF format and cannot exceed 10 MB in size.
Support Offered
The information about the product, such as the service scope, time range, business scope, and billing scope.
In the Category and SEO step, configure the parameters that are described in the following table and click Next.

Optional. Specifies whether customers can select a region when they purchase the product.
Product Category
The category of the product.
Custom Tags
Optional. The tags of the product. Customers can quickly find the product by tag.
SEO for Your Product
The search keywords and description of the product. This information increases the visibility of the product in the search results of third-party search engines such as Baidu.
In the Pricing step, configure the parameters that are described in the following table and click Next.

Pricing Plan
The billing method of the product. In this example, Subscription is selected.
ImportantAfter the product is sold based on the subscription billing method, the system automatically stops the business when the product subscription duration expires. After the product expires for more than seven days, the product resources are released and disabled, and customers cannot renew the product.
Only Available to Enterprise Users
Specifies whether only enterprise customers can purchase the product.
SKU Name
The name of the product specification.
SKU Price
The price and billing cycle of the product specification.
Additional Billable Items
The additional billable items of the product. If a product is sold by edition and validity period or by custom settings such as one-time sales and number of accounts, you must add additional billable items.
For example, if your product charges fees based on the edition and the number of accounts, configure a billable item of the quantity type. If your product charges fees based on the edition and region, configure a billable item of the enumeration type.
Click Add Additional Billable Item. In the dialog box that appears, click billing term. In the section that appears, configure the parameters of the billable item based on the following information.
If the billable item is of the quantity type, configure the following parameters:
Pricing Method: the pricing method. Valid values: Fixed Price and Tiered Pricing.
Minimum Order Quantity: specifies whether to set the minimum order quantity. If the minimum amount of resources is required to create a service instance, we recommend that you set the minimum order quantity.
Minimum Sales Quantity: the minimum number of resources to be sold.
This parameter is available only after you set the Minimum Order Quantity parameter to Yes.
Tiered Pricing: the relationship between the sales quantity and the price.
This parameter is available only after you set the Pricing Method parameter to Tiered Pricing.
Purchase Price: the unit price for purchasing resources.
This parameter is available only after you set the Minimum Order Quantity parameter to Yes.
Renewal Price: the unit price for renewing resources.
This parameter is available only after you set the Minimum Order Quantity parameter to Yes.
If the billable item is of the enumeration type, configure the pricing method based on the edition and region of the product in the Enumeration Pricing section.
NoteThe name of the production parameter must be the same as the parameter name in the service template to support the association feature. The association feature indicates that when you change the parameters in the service template, if additional billable items are configured, the service bills accordingly change.
The billable item is only displayed on the service sales page. You can customize the parameter.
Free Trial
Specifies whether the product supports trial. If you set this parameter to Yes, you must specify the number of trial days. The maximum number of trial days is 30.
NoteIf the product specification supports trial, the template or parameter set of the corresponding Compute Nest service of the specification must support trial.
The number of trial days of each product specification must be the same. Each customer is allowed to use a service of each edition free of charge only once.
If the number of trial days that you specify in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace is different from the number of trial days that you specify in the Compute Nest console, the number of trial days that you specify in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace prevails.
In the Product Agreement Information step, configure the parameters that are described in the following table and click Next.

Product Agreement
The end-user license agreement (EULA). This is a legal agreement between you and your customers. Customers must agree to this agreement before they purchase the product. You can use the EULA template that is provided by Alibaba Cloud Marketplace and modify the EULA template based on your business requirements. You can also import a custom EULA template.
ICP Filing
The compliance information about the product.
In the dialog box that appears, click Confirm submission.
The product review process is automatically triggered after you submit the product sales information.
Step 3: Submit for review and perform a self-test
Wait for the category review results of the product.
If the operations staff of Alibaba Cloud Marketplace reject the product in the category review, you must modify the category and submit the product for category review again.
After the category review is passed, test the product by yourself.
After the category review is approved, you must return to the Service Details page of the service in the Compute Nest console. On the Service Details tab, associate the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product specification to ensure that the service passes the test. Perform the following steps.
NoteIf you integrate the CheckOutLicense, test the operation.
Go to the Service Details page of the service that is published to Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.
In the Basic Information section, find the Sales Status parameter and click Configure Now.
On the Sales Settings tab, click Associate. Then, select a product specification and a parameter set configured for the template.
Click OK.
NoteIf a Compute Nest service is associated with an Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product and you do not modify the template and parameter set or the template and number of parameter sets when you publish the service of a new version, you do not need to manually re-associate the service. After you click Submit Review, the service is automatically associated with the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product.
If a Compute Nest service is associated with an Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product and you modify the template and parameter set or the template and the number of parameter sets when you publish the service of a new version, you must re-associate the service with the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product and click Submit Review. Otherwise, an error is reported.
After the self-test is complete, submit the product for feature review. After the feature review is passed, the service is automatically published to the product list of Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.
View the product
After the product is published, the details page of the product in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace displays a tag to indicate that a Compute Nest service is published as the product and the service stability is ensured.
When a customer purchases the product, the order confirmation page in Alibaba Cloud Marketplace displays the cloud resource configurations that you specify in the Compute Nest service and corresponding fees. The fees related to the product are settled between you and Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.
The usage fees of cloud resources are deducted from the account of the customer when the cloud resources are deployed with a few clicks. The usage fees are not deducted when the customer confirms the product order.
