Compute Nest:Publish a pay-per-use product on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace

Step 1: Select an online Compute Nest service

1. Log on to the Compute Nest console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, select My Services.

3. On the Created Services tab, select the service that you want to list on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

4. Click the service name to open the service details page. On the service details page, confirm that the service status is Online. Then, in the Sales Configuration section, click Associate Marketplace Product. Two options are available: Associate Marketplace Product and Associate Third-party Payment Product. Note that a service can be associated with only one product type.

Step 2: Configure sales information

On the Basic Information page in the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace console, configure the product sales information.

1. On the Product Access Information tab, fill in the product information and click Next.

   Parameter	Description
   Access type	Select SaaS.
   Product name	Enter a custom product name.
   SaaS acceleration program	Optional. Select the ID of an acceleration plan that is not yet associated with a product.
   Application activation method	Select Compute Nest deployment.
   Service type	Select the deployment method for the Compute Nest service. Compute Nest supports two service types: Compute Nest private service and Compute Nest fully managed service. The service IDs that you configured in Compute Nest are loaded for each service type. Each product has a one-to-one mapping with a service ID. If a template is already associated with a product, it cannot be reused.
   Select service process template	Optional. We recommend that you select a public template. If no public templates meet your requirements, you can select a private template.

2. On the Basic Product Information tab, fill in the parameters and click Next. For Product image, you have two upload options: Upload with background and Custom upload. The Upload with background option lets you combine your logo with one of eight background colors: white, orange, light blue, blue-violet, purple, green, gray, or black.

   Parameter	Description
   Product image	Upload the product logo. The image must be a PNG file with a transparent background. The recommended size is 290 × 290 pixels, and the file size cannot exceed 7.5 MB.
   Product introduction	Enter a brief product introduction of up to 300 words. This introduction appears on the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product list page.
   Product highlights	Describe the core features and services of the product that distinguish it from similar products. The description can be up to 1,000 words in length.
   Product details	Provide a detailed description of the product features, services provided, unique characteristics, and usage process.
   Version features and screenshots	Optional. Provide a comparative description of different product versions. You can also upload screenshots of different versions to help users better understand the features of each version.
   Product screenshots	Optional. Upload screenshots of the product in use.
   Product live stream ID	Optional. Enter the product live stream ID to associate it with your product. After it is associated, your live stream is displayed on the product details page.
   Short product video	Optional. Upload a short video that introduces the product. After the video is uploaded, it is displayed on the product details page.
   Product qualifications	Optional. Upload relevant qualification information for the product. You can upload up to six images. Each image cannot exceed 2 MB in size.
   Customer use cases	Optional. Provide successful use cases for the product.
   User guide	Upload a user guide for the product. The guide must be a PDF file no larger than 10 MB. The Alibaba Cloud Marketplace operations team will review this guide.
   After-sales support scope	Enter information about the after-sales support, such as the service scope, time frame, business scope, and fee range.

3. On the Product Business Information tab, fill in the parameters and click Next.

   In the product category section, you must configure the Product category, delivery method (for example, Compute Nest private deployment), Server-side software type, Target audience, and Use cases.

   Parameter	Description
   Supports service regions	Optional. Specify whether your product supports service regions. If it does, customers can select a region when they place an order.
   Product category	Select the category for your product.
   Custom tags	Optional. Add tags that match your product to help customers quickly find it.
   Product SEO information	Set keywords and a description related to your product to help search engines like Baidu index it.

4. On the Product Sales Information tab, fill in the parameters and click Next.

   Parameter	Description
   Sales model	Select pay-per-use.
   Only for enterprise customers	Specify whether only enterprise customers can order this product.
   Specification name	Set the name for the product specification.
   Specification pricing	Set the price for the product.
   Validity period	Set the validity period of the product. Note This is the validity period of the product specification after purchase. The product cannot be renewed after it expires.
   Additional billing items	Configure this item based on your product's sales model. For example, use additional billing items if you sell by criteria such as version, validity period, usage, or user count. For example, if you sell different versions with different numbers of accounts, configure a Quantity billing module. If you sell different versions in different regions, configure an Enumeration billing module. Click Add additional billing item. In the dialog box, click Add billing module, and then configure the billing item in the configuration panel. The parameters for additional billing items are as follows: If you select Quantity as the type for the additional billing item, configure the following parameters. Pricing method: Select Fixed pricing or Tiered pricing. Minimum order quantity setting: Specify whether to set a minimum order quantity. If your service instance requires a minimum number of resources, we recommend that you select Settings. Minimum order quantity: Set the minimum quantity of resources to sell. You can configure this parameter only after you set Minimum order quantity setting to Settings. Tiered pricing: Define the relationship between purchase quantity and price. You can configure this parameter only if you set Pricing method to Tiered pricing. New purchase price: Set the unit price for new purchases. You can configure this parameter only after you set Minimum order quantity setting to Settings. Renewal price: Set the unit price for renewals. You can configure this parameter only after you set Minimum order quantity setting to Settings. If you select Enumeration as the type for the additional billing item, in the Enumeration Pricing section, set different pricing based on different versions and regions. Note To enable automatic price updates, the production parameter must match the corresponding parameter name in the service template. This linkage ensures that the price adjusts automatically based on the configured billing item when a parameter is changed in the template. The billing item name is used only for display on the service sales page. You can customize the name.

5. On the Product Agreement Information tab, fill in the parameters and click Next.

   Parameter	Description
   Product agreement	This is the agreement between you and the end customer. Customers must accept this before placing an order. You can modify the template provided by Alibaba Cloud Marketplace or import your own template.
   Technical filing	Enter the compliance information for the product as prompted on the screen.

6. In the confirmation dialog box, click Confirm.

   Submitting the information automatically triggers the product review process.

Step 3: Submit for review and self-test

1. After you submit all the information, Alibaba Cloud Marketplace performs a category review of the product.

   If the review fails, Alibaba Cloud Marketplace returns the product to you for modification. You must then resubmit it for category review.

2. Once the category review is approved, you must perform a self-test on the product. The listing process consists of the following stages: Product publishing, Category review, Self-test, Functional review, and Listed. The current stage is Self-test.

   After the category review is approved, you must complete the self-test. To do this, return to the service details page in the Compute Nest console and associate the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace product specifications.

   Note

   If you integrated the CheckOutLicense API, you must test it.

   1. Go to the details page of the service published to Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

   2. In the Basic Information section, find Sales Status and click Configure Now.

   3. On the Sales Configuration tab, click Associate. Then, for each product specification, select the corresponding specification and template package information.

   4. Click OK.

3. After the self-test is complete, you can submit the product for functional review. After the functional review is approved, the service is automatically listed on Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.
