After a service instance is created, if the parameter values or parameter sets of the service instance do not meet your requirements, you can change the configurations of the service instance. This topic describes how to change the configurations of a service instance.
Prerequisites
Configuration change is enabled and the related parameters are configured for the service by the service provider.
Procedure
Log on to the Compute Nest console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Service Instance.
On the Service Instance page, find the service instance that you want to manage and click its ID to go to the service instance details page.
On the service instance details page, click Service Instance Configuration Change in the upper-right corner. In the dialog box that appears, configure the parameters.
In the Select Change Type step, select the configuration change type. Click Next.
The configuration change types are preset by the service provider. The options displayed on the actual page prevail.
Upgrade: If you want to upgrade the configurations of a parameter set, the serial number of the destination parameter set must be greater than that of the current parameter set that is associated with the service instance. If you want to modify parameters, you must set parameters of the numeric type to larger values. You cannot upgrade the configurations of custom parameter sets.
Downgrade: If you want to downgrade the configurations of a parameter set, the serial number of the destination parameter set must be smaller than that of the current parameter set that is associated with the service instance. If you want to modify parameters, you must set parameters of the numeric type to smaller values. You cannot downgrade the configurations of custom parameter sets.
Custom: For a custom configuration change, no limits are set on the configurations of parameter sets and parameters, and custom parameter sets are supported.
In the Configure Parameters step, configure the parameters based on your business requirements. Click Next.
Parameters and parameter sets that do not support configuration changes are not displayed and vary by service instance. The parameters and parameter sets displayed on the actual page prevail.
After you configure the parameters, you can view the resource fee in the lower part of the page.
NoteYou can query only the prices of Elastic Compute Service (ECS) resources.
In the Preview Parameter Changes step, check the configuration change information.
Click OK.
You can view the configuration change progress on the service instance details page.
What to do next
After the configurations of the service instance are changed, you can view the parameter values in the Configurations section of the service instance details page.
