To monitor a host, you must install the CloudMonitor agent on the host to collect the monitoring data of the operating system. The version of the CloudMonitor agent is continuously upgraded to bring you a better monitoring experience.
Reasons for upgrade
The following list describes the reasons for upgrading the CloudMonitor agent:
The version of the CloudMonitor agent is continuously iterated to provide new features, fix stability issues, and optimize performance. If the CloudMonitor agent is not upgraded for a long period of time, stability issues may occur and your business is affected. For example, memory leaks may occur.
The CloudMonitor agents V3.5.8 and earlier are no longer maintained. If an issue occurs on your CloudMonitor agent, upgrade the agent to the latest version. If the issue persists, submit a ticket to CloudMonitor.
If the CloudMonitor agents V3.5.8 and earlier have critical security or stability issues, CloudMonitor will issue an announcement and force the upgrade. We recommend that you pay attention to the release notes for the CloudMonitor agent and upgrade the agent to the latest version.
