Cloud Monitor:Migrate a MetricStore instance to a Managed Service for Prometheus instance

Scenarios

1. Migrate an existing MetricStore instance to a Managed Service for Prometheus instance to use community-compatible metric management features.

2. Use Prometheus recording rules.

3. Use a Prometheus View instance to perform global aggregate queries.

Prerequisite

You have activated Managed Service for Prometheus.

Billing

After a MetricStore instance is migrated, fees are incurred by Managed Service for Prometheus. You will no longer be charged for Simple Log Service (SLS).

Procedure

1. Obtain the names of the existing SLS Project and MetricStore from the SLS console.

2. Log on to the Cloud Monitor 2.0 console. Create or select a workspace in the same region, and go to the workspace.

3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Integration Center. Search for Prometheus-managed MetricStore to start the configuration. Select the SLS Project and MetricStore from Step 1. Enter a name for the Prometheus instance. Click OK. A Prometheus instance is created after the integration is successful.

4. In the navigation pane on the left, choose All Features, and choose Prometheus Service.

5. The Prometheus instance is displayed in the instance list.

   Note

   After the integration, a configuration record is created in the default integration policy. Deleting this record does not delete the Prometheus instance.
