Event monitoring lets you query and analyze system events across Alibaba Cloud services, track the use of Alibaba Cloud services, and receive alert notifications to quickly troubleshoot business exceptions.
Supported events
Supported system events are listed in Appendix 2: System events.
Background information
System events in CloudMonitor are classified into the following two categories based on how notifications are delivered:
-
Server internal faults: Events caused by internal server issues, such as system service exceptions and network fluctuations, do not trigger automatic notifications. To receive alert notifications for these events, you must install the CloudMonitor agent on your Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances and configure alert rules.
-
External events affecting servers: Events caused by external factors that affect your servers, such as regional shutdowns and scheduled maintenance, trigger automatic notifications.
