After you create an alert rule, you can modify, disable, enable, or delete it on the Alert Rules page. You can also view alert history to identify and handle exceptions.
The disable, enable, and delete operations support both individual and batch modes.
Modify an alert rule
If an alert rule no longer meets your monitoring requirements, modify it.
Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
On the Alert Rules page, find the alert rule that you want to modify and click Modify in the Actions column.
In the Modify Alert Rule panel, modify the parameters.

Click Confirm.
Disable alert rules
By default, the status of a newly created alert rule is Normal. If you stop a cloud service for maintenance or upgrade, disable the associated alert rules. This prevents Cloud Monitor from sending notifications for alerts triggered by manual operations on the cloud service.
Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
On the Alert Rules page, disable one or more alert rules.
Disable a single alert rule
Find the alert rule that you want to disable, click the
icon in the Actions column, and then click Disable.In the Disable Alert Rule message, click OK.
Disable multiple alert rules at a time
Select the alert rules that you want to disable and click Disable in the lower-left corner of the page.
In the Disable Alert Rule message, click OK.
Enable alert rules
After you complete the maintenance or upgrade of a cloud service, enable the associated alert rules. Cloud Monitor then resumes sending alert notifications based on the enabled rules.
Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
On the Alert Rules page, enable one or more alert rules.

Find the alert rule that you want to enable, click the
icon in the Actions column, and then click Enable.In the Enable Alert Rule message, click OK.

Select the alert rules that you want to enable and click Enable in the lower-left corner of the page.
In the Enable Alert Rule message, click OK.
Delete alert rules
After you delete an alert rule, you no longer receive alert notifications generated based on that rule.
Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
On the Alert Rules page, delete one or more alert rules.
Delete a single alert rule
Find the alert rule that you want to delete, click the
icon in the Actions column, and then click Delete.In the Delete Alert message, click OK.
Delete multiple alert rules at a time
Select the alert rules that you want to delete and click Delete in the lower-left corner of the page.
In the Delete Alert message, click OK.
View alert history
To identify and handle exceptions, view the historical alerts of a specific alert rule and the resources that triggered alerts.
Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
On the Alert Rules page, find the alert rule whose alert history you want to view and click Alert History in the Actions column. On the page that appears, you can view the details, alert contact group, historical alerts, and resources of the alert rule.
