Cloud Monitor:Use alerts for system events

Cloud Monitor centrally manages system events and custom events for your cloud services. You can create event-triggered alert rules to receive timely notifications when exceptions occur, helping you quickly analyze and resolve issues.

Cloud Monitor supports the following event types and cloud services.

Create an event-triggered alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Cloud Resource Monitoring > Application Groups.

  3. On the Application Groups tab, click the name of the application group.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click System Event.

  5. Click the Event-triggered Alert Rules tab, and then click Create Alert Rule.

  6. Click Create an event subscription.

    Note

    This legacy feature is no longer updated and is being phased out. We recommend that you use event subscriptions instead.

  7. On the Create a subscription policy page, configure the subscription policy.

    For parameter settings, see Create a subscription policy.

  8. Click Submit.

Test an event-triggered alert rule

Note

You can test event-triggered alert rules only for system events that are associated with a specific cloud service and event name.

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Cloud Resource Monitoring > Application Groups.

  3. On the Application Groups tab, click the name of the application group.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click System Event.

  5. Click the Event-triggered Alert Rules tab. Find the alert rule, click the 更多 icon in the Actions column, and then click Test.

  6. In the Create Event Test panel, select the event to be tested.

  7. In the Content (JSON) section, edit the event content, such as the instance ID.

  8. Click OK.

    CloudMonitor generates an event based on the event content to trigger the alert rule.

On the Event-triggered Alert Rules tab, find a rule and click Modify, Disable, Enable, or Delete in the Modify column.
