The Cloud Monitor agent collects disk metric data from your Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, including read and write IOPS and read and write throughput (bytes per second). You can configure alert rules for these metrics to receive notifications when thresholds are reached.

The Cloud Monitor agent is installed on the ECS instance that you want to monitor. For more information, see Install and uninstall the Cloud Monitor agent.
-
A disk is created for the ECS instance that you want to monitor. For more information, see Create a data disk or Create a data disk from a snapshot.
Metrics
For details about disk metrics of ECS instances, see ECS metrics.
